1. Vision. To be a reliable and successful businessperson.
a. Core Values: To the job market, I will bring honesty and respect to anyone
that I will encounter during my career.
b. Strategic Intent: I would like to be the top salesmen of my firm.
c. Core Competency: The core competency that I believe will drive my success
as I pursue my career is honesty. I firmly believe that being honest can take
you further than any other skill can. Being honest allows other people around
you to trust you.
2. Target Markets. The type of organization that I will target will be that of a
large corporation. Also, the organization targeted will be also be a progressive
corporate culture. I will be targeting organizations in the fields of automotive,
healthcare and telecommunications. These three segments are attractive because:

Healthcare will always be in demand and since
the “baby boomers” are growing older, the demand has never been greater.

The automotive industry in

Telecommunications is always growing and
expanding and the demand is great among small and large corporations.
3. Desired Job. The desired entry-level job that I wish to obtain with my targeted
firms are Sales Representative. My job would be to develop new prospects and
customers to increase sales of my organization’s products and/or services.
4. Positioning Statement. My positioning statement is simple, however, it also
concise. I will bring excellent selling abilities and commitment to the market.
In addition, the traits that I will bring to the job market are the eagerness to
succeed and an easygoing nature. The easygoing nature allows me to get along
with all types of people.
5. Marketing Mix.
a. Product: The products that I will present to the marketplace include:
(1) I will have completed an internship with one of my target markets.
(i.) An internship allows me to work with my targeted marketed.
(ii.) With working the internship, it will give me experience in my desired field and an understanding of the business operations.
(2) Employed full time throughout school.
(i.) While attending school, I will also manage a job.
(ii.) Going to school and having a job shows time management skills and responsibility.
(3) I will have graduated with at least a Bachelor Degree from College.
(i.) Graduating with at least a Bachelor Degree gives me credentials,
in addition, fills the basic educational requirement of many
organizations.
(ii.) The benefit to the firm is my education can make me more
qualified and competent to work in the field.
(4) Successfully completed training in selling.
(i.) The training will allow me to be more productive at conducting
and finishing a sale
(ii.) Having completed the training I will be a more proficient
sales representatives.
(5) Attended several marketing workshops.
(i.) The workshops allows students to interact with other people in
the industry.
(ii.) The workshops will give me experience will further my
knowledge of my major.

c. Place: A direct channel I will use for my job search will be to e-mail my
resume to my targeted firms. In addition, I will monster.com to
distribute my resumes to my targeted firms. An indirect channel that
I will utilize is my uncle who
works for in the healthcare industry.
In addition, I will use bronco jobs to aid in my job search. My geographical preference is in
d. Promotion: In order to communicate with the market to express my
availability and qualifications for employment, I will do several
things. First, I will make pencils with all of my necessary info and
distribute them at job fairs. This will help to get my name out to the
market easily and inexpensively. Second, attending job fairs will get
my name out and allow me to reach a broad audience. Third, I will
promote myself through product uniqueness. I will discuss my
qualities and the benefits of hiring me into the firm over other
applicants. Fourth, I will communicate my value. Doing this will
differentiate me from other people looking for the same position.
Finally, I will put an ad in a local newspaper to communicate my
availability. This can be done very inexpensively and can reach a
large audience easily.
6. Execution Plan: This is a basic outline of what I need to get done up until I
graduate.
