Sales Order Module
Description
Sales and Distribution are crucial to any business. In SAP the Sales and Distribution area is modeled after the basic structure of a company. SAP requires data about the products a company is selling, and this information is sent to different areas of the company. Sales and Distribution areas usually look at information about business partners, and any products or services provided. Other branches of the company, like accounting, also have access to the master data in SAP but they may see the information in a way that is different from other sectors of the firm. Sap stores all relevant Sales data in a systematic method that facilitates easy retrieval of information. Important areas in the Sales and Distribution area include: Pricing, Availability Check, Credit Management, Material Determination, Output Determination, Text Processing, Tax, and Account Determination. SAP helps integrate different areas of the business, and provides these areas with a wealth of knowledge about the inner workings of the company.
