Course List
BUS 2700:
This class is the
most important class that I’ve taken at WMU that prepares students for future
jobs. You must accomplish five different projects that deal with possible
situations in a job. Along the way you must work with five other people that
are in you group. This teaches many things such as teamwork, social situations,
timing, coordination, etc. I could name about ten or more other things that
group work does for people. This class is a preparation for the future, which
is employment.
ENVS 3400:
This was a very interesting class that I signed up for just to fill some credit hours. The class title was Environmental Policies, which was kind of intimidating the first time I went to class. It turned out to be anything but that, it was a two hour social learning twice a week. We had a wonderful professor that was all about opening our eyes and thinking about certain situations. His class had three projects but no exams. The projects were similar to the BUS 2700 where all students were forced to participate. The projects involved going to a non-profit environmental meeting, city council meeting, and an organizational meeting.
MGMT 2500
The reason I put this on my list was solely because of professor Dr. Thomas A. Carey. He is the ideal terms of a motivational speaker. He can dominate a crowd of over three hundred students and everyone is paying attention. The words that come out of his mouth make me want to accomplish so much with my life. The material in the class isn’t all that important, but Dr. Carey along is worth taking the class. He is very well respected in many different areas, such as the military, WMU, and thousands of students that have taken and will take his classes.
