One of my favorite things to do in my free time is to golf. The picture to the left is a view of one of the holes at the Yarrow Golf Course, located in Augusta, MI. I highley recommend you golf this course, especially if you are an avid golfer. This is the best course that I have golfed. Another course that I recommend is the the Lynx Golf Course, located in Allegan, MI. One last course that I highly recommend is Lake Doster Golf Club, located in Plainwell, MI. This course is home to the "Little Monster". This hole has been ranked as one of the toughest par 3s in the state and rated one of the top 18 holes in Michigan by the Detroit News. The tee sits high above the treacherous green below, isolated by trees, surrounded on three sides by water and protected by three sand traps. The hole is only 88 yards from the white tees! |

Another one of my favorite things do to is play slowpitch softball in the summer. I am the manager/player for the Mayberry Muskrats. In 2004 our team started playing wooden bat baseball and for the past two years we have played slow pitch softball. In 2007 we won the baseball championship for the Southwestern Michigan Men's Baseball League, located in Otsego, MI, with an unbeaten record. Last year, we won the Monday Night Slowpitch softball league at Otsego's Memorial park, during that season we only lost one game. This year we decided to play in a tougher league, we moved up to a doubleheader league on Tuesday Nights at Otsego's Memorial Park. We finished with a 13-11 record and lost in the semifinal game of the league playoffs. |

I also enjoy canoeing. Every summer, my friends and I go on a canoe trip on the Pere Marquette River, up in Baldwin, MI. We spend a weekend up in Balwin, MI at one of my friend's campground land. |

One hobby that I enjoy that does not involve the outdoors is watching movies. My favorite movie is Remember the Titans. Sports movies are my favorite to watch, but I also like watching comedies, horror, and action movies. Besides, Remember the Titans, my other favorite movies are Wedding Crashers and The Hangover. |

One last hobby of mine is watching sports, rather it be in person or on television. My dad and I have a tradition of watching high school football games every Friday in the fall. We pick out what we think might be the most exciting game for the week and travel to that destination, it might be Mendon, Gobles, Portage, Wayland, Lowell, etc. I also enjoy watching college football all day on Saturdays, as long as I am not working a game at WMU. Besides watching football, I try to watch as many Detroit Tigers games as I can in the summer, and attend at least one game in person. |
