I wanted to take this opportunity not only to welcome you but to give you an overall view of myself. I am 27 years old and a graduate of Western Michigan University. I grew up in Flushing, Michigan and I too attended St. Roberts Elementary School. My years of attendance began in 1985 and ended in 1993. I still have a lot of fond memories of this school and I hope that I can be a part of the ones you will soon make. From St. Roberts I went on to attend Hill-McCloy High School in Montrose, Michigan. Along with my studies I played two years of basketball and three years of football earning Second-Team All League as a kicker my senior year. After High School I became an assistant high school soccer coach and for my schooling I attended Mott Community College. I attended MCC for about five and a half years, only going part time for most of my duration. During this time I became a J. V. soccer coach in Montrose, which led into a Head Varsity Coach position in Chesaning, Michigan. After attending MCC for so long I decided that I needed a change. It was then that I transferred to the University of Michigan, Flint. I had only attended this university for a semester when I decided to leave the home town and transfer to Western Michigan University. While at Western I participated in two pre-internships. The first was at The Learning Village where I observed a kindergarten classroom. My second pre-internship was at Chime Elementary where I observed a fifth grade classroom. I attended Western for three marvelous years to finish up my schooling and when I finished I came back home to share what I've learned. I am proud to be back at St. Roberts and it is my goal to make sure that every student in my classroom not only learns new material to pass on to the next grade, but to learn new material to pass on to life. Thank you for your time and I can't wait to see you in class!
