Hello and welcome students to Mr. Unangst's fifth grade classroom web site! I want to take this opportunity not only to welcome you but to also let you know what will be expected of you during this wonderful year in my classroom. Below is a list of classroom expectations, homework assignment information, a recommended reading list, an instructional power point, my contact information, and a few links that support classroom activities.
Classroom Expectations:
- Respect yourself and respect others
- Be truthful and honest
- Hand homework in on time
- Do your personal best in everything
- No talking while the teacher is talking
- No swearing
Homework Assignment Information:
- Homework assignment information will be kept in students planner.
- We will end each day by covering what went on in class and what assignments were handed out.
- Students will be given time during each lesson to finish assignment.
- If the assignment is not finished within the allotted time, it will be taken home to be worked on and brought in the next day.
- Points will be taken off for any assignment turned in late unless certain circumstances arise. Please let me know if such things do happen so I am aware of them.

- The Fifty States : This web site includes a variety of information on each state of the United States. Once you get to the web site you choose which state you need information on and click on it. Once there you will find things like Fast Facts, Demographic Information, State flag, and who the State Governor is. Many different types of information awaits any curious user.
- Fifth Grade Skills : This web site includes interactive assessment activities. Subjects include Social Studies, Mathematics, Language Arts, and Science.
- Holiday Activities : This wed site includes suggestions from numerous teachers on different holiday activities.
