Collegiate Objective |
On a personal level, I am entering college to further develop my views of the world, and to learn more about myself as well as those around me. Personally, I come from a very small, non-diverse town in southern Michigan. One of my goals by attending college is to meet people of different ethnicity and world views from those that I have grown up with all my life. I believe learning about others will make me a more well-rounded person and will better prepare me for a future in the professional world. Another reason I have chosen to come to college is to gain new friendships and connections that will last throughout my life. I can remember my parents telling me that some of their best friends were the ones they met in college, and I want to have that same experience. Throughout college, I want to fully develop my personality and my individuality by meeting new and interesting people! On a professional level, I am attending college in order to gain the skills necessary to have a fulfilling and enriching career in the field of finance. I know that without attending college, having a successful career in finance, or even just a job in finance, would be almost impossible. One of my goals while attending Western Michigan University is to achieve a cumulative GPA of at least 3.5, which I am well on my way to achieving. I want to achieve a very high and prestigious position in the finance world, and without going to college, this would be impossible. After my undergraduate days here at Western Michigan University are done, I want to attend graduate school for finance at a prestigious university. Carrying a high GPA and a good core of extracurricular activities will help me achieve my dream of being accepted into a prestigious graduate school. As long as I maintain my diligent work ethic and my positive outlook on school and life, I know I will be able to accomplish all of my personal and professional endeavors. |
