I chose the design elements for my website by what looked the best and what looked the cleanest. I like that it looks organized and concise. The colors are also a good contrast from one another.
I think that this website is moderatly personal. I have pictures of myself and some information, but not enough to reveal a lot about me.
If my technological abilities were limitless, I would have animation and other images on the site that would move along with the information. I think I could make the site more personal then.
One website that I admire is the LiveStrong site. Everything is organized and where it should be. I also like the fact that you can find journals, stories, and quotes of cancer survivors on the site to make the concept more powerful and personal. There are also great pictures on the website that draw you in emotionally. The site also has a merchandise section to purchase, and in turn donate, to the Lance Armstrong Foundation.
