FALL ENTRANCE COHORT SCHEDULES
76 Credit Hour Program
INTRODUCTION
Welcome to the Rehabilitation
Counseling/Teaching (RCT) Program’s Fall Entrance Cohort Schedules. The Cohort Schedules will serve as guides for
RCT students to plan registration each semester and for the development and
submission of the RCT Permanent Program of Study. The permanent program of study must be
completed within the first semester of graduate study (please refer to the RCT
Permanent Program of Study link).
The Compressed Cohort Schedule will assist
students who wish to finish the RCT Program in 2 years + 1 semester. The Extended
Cohort Schedule is designed for students to complete the RCT program in 3 years + 1 semester. The Extended Cohort Schedule has been designed
to assist students to maintain full-time graduate student registration status
(Except for Summer I of YEAR ONE), while completing the RCT program of study at
a slower pace. The Compressed Cohort Schedule is the recommended course of study.
Both
Schedules were formulated based on the scheduled BLS & CECP departmental
course offerings and prerequisite requirements.
Should you find that a course is not offered during the semester in
which it is scheduled, please consult the course prerequisites outlined below for
registration and/or consult with your academic advisor.
RCT PROGRAM COURSE PREREQUISITES
Please
find below a listing of all Rehabilitation Counseling and Rehabilitation
Teaching Practicum prerequisite courses.
In addition to the listing below, all Rehabilitation Counseling
prerequisite courses are indicated with an “*” after the course number and all
Rehabilitation Teaching prerequisite courses with an “**” in the cohort
tables. Please note: All associated prerequisites must be
completed prior to initiating the designated practicum course (BLS 6910 or CECP
6120). Finally, in addition to the below listed prerequisites, all RCT students
are required to complete 10 hours of group participation prior to the CECP 6120
Practicum placement.
