The following is a guideline that field instructors and students should use as a guide to schedule required meetings and meet deadlines for the Fall semester. Additional site meetings involving the faculty field liaison may be scheduled at the request of either the student, the field instructor, or the field liaison. A total of three group seminars (across Fall & Spring semesters) involving all PP&A students and the field liaison will also be scheduled by the field liaison.

Week 1:  

Sep 7, 2006
Group orientation meeting for PP&A Students.

By end of
4th Week:
  No later than Sep 29, 2006
The CONTENT of the learning contract must be approved by the field instructor, and a copy submitted to the faculty liaison. The liaison will review the learning contract for content (in keeping with the PP&A program objectives) and format.
By end of
6th Week:
 

No later than Oct 13, 2006
Final (i.e., approved by both field instructor and faculty liasion) first semester learning contracts are due, complete with signature of field instructor and field liaison. Students submit paper copy with original signatures to field liaison. Students keep a photocopy of the signed contract to record actual hours throughout the semester and post electronic copy (final version) to Web CT.

7th Week:
 

No later than Oct 20, 2006
In preparation for the midterm evaluation, the student and field instructor may wish to hold a pre-evaluation meeting so that the student can receive feedback prior to the evaluation meeting that may take place by the end of the 8th week of the semester.

By end of
8th Week:
 

No later than Oct 27, 2006
A joint midterm evaluation conference between the student, field instructor, and faculty liaison is held to evaluate the field education experience and the student's performance. Students should have an up-to-date portfolio of their activities and accomplishments ready for show at this meeting.

By end of
12th Week:
  No later than Nov 24, 2006
The student and field instructor hold an end-of-semester performance review meeting. The field instructor should prepare a draft of the student's final evaluation shortly after the end of the performance review meeting. Students should have an up-to-date portfolio of their activities and accomplishments ready for show at this meeting.
By end of
13th Week:
  No later than Dec 1, 2006
A joint end-of-semester performance review meeting between the student, faculty instructor and field liaison may be held to evaluate the field education experience and the student's performance. This meeting will occur if a mid-semester a joint mid-semester meeting did not take place or if the student, the field instructor, or the field liaison requests it. Students should have a portfolio of their activities and accomplishments ready for show at this meeting.
By end of
14th Week:
  No later than Dec 15, 2006
The field instructor's final evaluation, jointly signed by student and field instructor, is due. Students submit evaluation with original signatures to faculty liaison. Also, students will submit photocopy of signed learning contract with actual hours recorded. The faculty liaison will add her signature and submit student's paperwork to the Field Education Office.
