The Winner of the 2007 Professional Recognition Award by APAC, AAPAR, AAHPERD -- Jiabei Zhang, Western Micigan University

Dr. Jiabei Zhang has been an outstanding professional since he earned his doctorate in 1994 from the University of Georgia. He is the author of 36 research articles in such journals as Adapted Physical Activity Quarterly, Palaestra, and Perceptual and Motor Skills, and has made 49 APE presentations at professional conferences around the world. Jiabei has also been active in grant writing, receiving grants from the United States Department of Education to prepare future APE professionals. In addition, he has served in various APE leadership roles, such as chair of Adapted Physical Education of the Midwest AHPERD District and as treasurer of NCPERID. Jiabei is also very involved in service, most recently receiving a service recognition award from the Kalamazoo Regional Educational Service Agency Young Adult Program. APAC is proud to award the Professional Recognition Award to Dr. Jiabei Zhang. Congratulations!
