Homepages at WMU

Jan. 1, 2023

Homepages has been sunset and is no longer accessible. WMU has discontinued personal web pages in the form of the Homepage services for students, alumni, staff and retirees and these sites are no longer available for viewing.

The Office of Information technology in partnership with WMUx and the University Libraries as well as the support of the Faculty Senate Academic Information Technology Council, are prepared to support you in the transition of your materials to a contemporary alternative.

Students

If you are using Homepages to access course materials or resources, contact your instructor for updated links.

Instructional use

If you are using your Homepage for instructional purposes, the Instructional Technology Center can assist you in moving that content to Elearning, Microsoft Teams or other WMU instructional support systems. The ITC can be reached at (269) 387-6958 or wmux-itc@wmich.edu.

Research use

If your use of Homepages is in capturing and sharing your research and research interests, the University Libraries are well-positioned to help you. They can assist you in depositing and providing access to your research and publications via WMU’s institutional repository ScholarWorks, or in creating an online research profile. If this is an avenue you’d like to explore, please reach out to Scholarly Communications Librarian Michele Behr (michele.behr@wmich.edu) or Digital Projects Librarian Amy Bocko (amy.bocko@wmich.edu) for further assistance.

The intentions in retiring Homepages are focused on reducing deprecated services/unsupported technologies, further securing WMU and our community’s user data from cybersecurity threats, and elevating the online experience and technology offerings for our faculty and students. We want to assure you that we are committed to helping you make this a successful transition.
